Love Your
Little Miami !

Welcome to the LMC Annual Fund campaign to Help Protect, Preserve and Restore all 100 miles of our National Wild and Scenic treasure!

The Little Miami National Wild and Scenic River is a beauty!  World-class nature in your backyard.  Scenic, sensational waters.  Family fun at every bend. From being a severely polluted river in 1967, the Little Miami is now in the top 10% of healthy river ecosystems in Ohio. Its clean waters are home to 74 species of rare and sport fish, more than a dozen species of freshwater mussels, and 255 species of birds, including the Bald Eagle and Great Blue Heron.

The Little Miami needs your support.  Your gift, at whatever level works for you, will ensure the health of its fish, wildlife, riverbanks and glorious waters. Financial support from you and your neighbors also helps ensure the Conservancy can provide year-round educational programs for kids and adults.

How You Can Help

LMC takes every opportunity to appeal to and apply for public and private funding –– grants, gifts, matching programs.  Every dollar received has been stretched and through careful investing LMC funds have doubled over the past 20 years.

Please consider supporting the Little Miami Conservancy ON LINE with a one-time donation, or an annual or monthly recurring gift to help us preserve and protect the river we love!

You can mail donations to: Little Miami Conservancy 209 Railroad Avenue Loveland, OH 45140.

Can you “Double down”? If your employer offers a matching gift in support of employee donations to nonprofit organizations, your donation will provide twice the impact!

Why Support the Little Miami Conservancy?

No one else is doing the work to protect and preserve this river to the high degree that your Conservancy does. For over 50 years LMC has proven its commitment to the mission of serving as a “voice” for the Little Miami, and your gift will allow LMC to maintain and build upon that progress. LMC has successfully….

  • Partnered with public officials, landowners and developers to establish critical riverfront forests and prairie lands which filter runoff, provide vital shade and wildlife habitat, and help stabilize riverbanks.

  • Created and restored more than 100 beautiful nature preserves through purchase and charitable gifts, and planted over 50,000 trees and 200 acres of native prairies.

  • Led annual river-clean up projects for over 50 years, involving thousands of local citizens and area youth groups as volunteers.

  • Acquired and demolished more than 50 eyesores (run-down structures, dumping grounds, etc.) along the Little Miami, allowing each parcel of land to return to its natural beauty.

  • Educated thousands of kids about river ecosystems, fishing, local wildlife and conservation through our nature programs and fishing clinics.

  • Installed nine high tech water quality testing stations to monitor the river’s health every 15 minutes around the clock.
